The Hasbro-released board game retails for $39.99. The eclectic Vault Collection is just one of many merchandise lines released for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” Due to the game’s inclusion in the collection, there is a limit of only two items per guest at time of purchase. To add to the fun, the board game also doubles as a replica of “the most magical place on Earth,” once players have completed the assembly. Using one of six classic characters to mark their moves, players travel throughout all of the theme lands in the park during the whimsical game. The original game also highlighted a few attractions long gone, including the submarine ride honoring the classic film, “20,000 Leauges Under the Sea.” Spotted today at Marketplace Co-op at Disney Springs, the game features miniature replicas of classic Magic Kingdom attractions, including the Haunted Mansion, the Mad Tea Party, the Walt Disney World Railroad, and of course, the monorail. This new release brings another nostalgic touch to the incredible wealth of merchandise offerings in the Vault Collection, celebrating the resort’s 50th anniversary festivities. The vintage game originally hit shelves just a few months after Walt Disney World Resort’s opening on October 1, 1971. The 1972 “A Visit to Walt Disney World” board game debuted as part of the incredible Vault Collection.
